I'm Jennifer Bosakāa wedding photographer who believes in the lasting legacy of your marriage. I consider it a great honor to play a small role in one of the most important days of your life. Here on the blog, you can browse my latest galleries!
It’s officially, official ya’ll! Jenny B Photography is now LLC’d and Tax ID’d! It’s been a long, long, long time coming. I haven’t really taken the plunge to really take my photography business off. I think it’s because I was just really scared. Scared of failing.
Brian and I have been talking about my photography business officially taking off for a while now. Getting 30 some family mini sessions last Fall definitely help me in the gusto area and now I have 2 weddings booked this summer! I’m still learning the trade. There are things I need to figure out and watch how to videos on Youtube, but I’m excited!
So, since we decided to get legally official, we also decided to give myself a workspace. We have this little out-cove in our bedroom that over looks the parking area and the neighborhood across the street. It perfectly fits our desk. We got myself an iMac and have signed up for the monthly Photoshop fee. This is where I will be for now on when I’m working on photography projects. I’ll tell ya, having a big screen like this iMac definitely helps me see my photos A LOT better.
My workspace isn’t much, but I DO NOT like clutter. Like, really, really don’t like clutter. In fact, I’m trying to rid our house now of things we don’t need/use ever. Having a clutter free place just feels so much more freeing, ya know?
We were watching Fixer Upper last Saturday (which, PS. Joanna Gaines is my new girl crush. I absolutely LOVE her fashion! It’s athletic yet girly.) and it gave me a bit of inspiration to get a little shelf on the side wall of the out-cove. We went to Home Depot and cut this piece of pine wood (pine wood, the wood for the broke…someone said that once), stained it and it was MY idea to add these little things to hang it on the wall. I have no idea what they are called. We found them in the door hinge section of Home Depot. I was rather proud of myself for being that creative, #thanksFixerUpper! A friend gave me the mirror and the frame which were white to start out with. I painted the frame from some extra paint samples I had, added a touch of glitter (because the world needs glitter), and put in this super cute picture which was actually a greeting card from Target. For the mirror, I glued on some Modge Podge glue and doused the mirror in glitter and let it dry. I have to say, I quite like the out come.
Anyway, I’m stoked to be officially starting this photography journey. I may be calling on some people to let me borrow their new borns or let me use you as a model while I challenge myself creatively.
Check out the rest of my workspace!
