2020 was the year full of surprises for everyone. Some bad and some very unwelcome surprises. But let it be known, there were some good things that came out of this year. While everything stopped in the Spring, weddings and love and couples wanting to start building their legacies didn’t stop. There were still marriages and births and other things COVID couldn’t cancel.
Jackie + Jon-Erik were supposed to be my very first wedding of the season. They were the very first wedding that got postponed just a month before their original date. I did have the honor to photograph their very small wedding that consisted of 8 people total in attendance. It was so lovely and still so full of emotion and excitement to be married.
Cut to November, ONE day before the Gov. of VA decided to cut back large events again to no more than 25 people, Jackie + Jon-Erik were married on a perfect Fall day at Sylvanside Farm. They finally got to celebrate at their dream venue with their close family and friends and it was a beautiful celebration.
Instead of vows (because they already got that covered) they read out loud letters they wrote to each other about their first seven months of marriage. It was really sweet and so unique to witness.
Ok, enough of my babbling. Go see the images to view their wedding day story!
Thanks to all the amazing vendors who made this wedding possible!
