Laura walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles. And what a fitting song that was for Laura, for their wedding day, and just for the entire theme of their wedding.
Laura + Mike were married on Saturday at the Decatur House in DC right next to the White House.
It was the hottest day of the year and yet we still had a random rain shower right before we were set out to go to the first look. It all worked out though because the sun came out again and we did their first look at Bartholdi Park next to the Capitol building. And, both Laura and Mike’s mom said they had rain on their wedding days and we all know what rain brings on wedding days. 🙂
Haley from Cedar + Lime did an amazing job at incorporating the Pantone’s color of the year, Coral and other pops of pinks and lots of greenery. It was a perfect mix of modern and whimsy.
Linnie from Bohemia Events + Design planned everything perfectly. She really brought to life Laura + Mike’s vision with the courtyard dinner under twinkly lights (I love twinkly lights).
And oh you guys, Mike and Laura can BOTH tear. up. the. dance. floor…they brought down the house! I mean, Laura was a ballerina after all. But man, they had moves!
You guys just have to see the kind of magic that came to life! I mean, really, I could talk your head off all day about their wedding, but the images really speak for themselves.
Enjoy!
