Married: Laura + Brian, Sequoia Restaurant – Georgetown

Oh Laura + Brian. I LOVE them! I had such a privilege to not only be their photographer, but just to get to know these wonderful people.

They both have such infectious personalities and joy. There was really no posing them when doing their photos, I just let them be and they did all the work. They were so giddy. Honestly, at the end of the day, my own cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much.

They got married at the Sequoia Restaurant in Georgetown on Saturday which made for some lovely and iconic views during the ceremony. Laura and her girls got ready at a sweet little Air BnB tucked in an alley I’ve never been down in Georgetown. All the photos were done by the waterfront and we took up the entire pathway for quite a while. Sorry Georgetown visitors!

The whole day went perfectly and I think it’s just due to the fact that these two people have so many sweet friends that love them dearly. Seriously, when I say their joy was infectious, it was so so so infectious. Laura even had the case of the giggles during her vows.

Thanks to all the amazing vendors that helped Laura + Brian have the best day ever!!

They had a hand shake/high five when they did the first look!
Ok, Laura’s family has this tradition/game they play called “The Wine Game” and literally, you go around in a circle drinking wine while chanting “the wine game, the wine game.” There were four bottles and you had to pass all the bottles around and take a drink until all the bottles were gone.
They were singing Sweet Caroline, while Brian’s Dad hopped in the circle with a Nats hat on. Well played, Dad, well played.
