On Saturday, I had the privilege to photograph Juliet + Michael’s classic wedding. It was a busy day, but everything fell into place perfectly. You guys, Juliet planned her wedding while living in Alabama AND working nights as a cardio vascular surgeon…ALL of it. She even did her own photography timeline and it looked just how I would’ve planned it. Amazing!!
There was so much that went into the day. They got ready at the Mandarin Oriental in DC and then we went to the Kennedy Center for photos, where Juliet planned an HOUR for bride and groom photos…yessssss girl! We then headed over to Alexandria, VA for the Catholic ceremony and as soon as that was done, everyone hopped on the bus to head back to the Mandarin to get ready for the Korean ceremony. After the Korean ceremony, we did a few more portraits of the couple in their Paebaek outfits and then back up to their room to change back in to their dress and tux. It was a whirlwind of a day, but Juliet and Michael went with everything and they had so much fun. They are definitely the type of couple that are easy-going and relaxed with each other and everyone else.
I loved being able to witness a Paebeak ceremony for the first time. It was neat to see all of their elders give them such sweet marriage advice during the ceremony. And most of them told Juliet + Michael to make sure you keep being friends AND date each other. Such important advice for marriage.
There are A LOT of photos in this blog. I told myself to keep it to only 50 images, but when your couple is legit models, you can’t help but show more.
Enjoy! Oh! Upon arriving to Juliet’s suite, we heard a DOG and were thrilled to see their adorable corgi dog, Basil made the trip with them! He’ll be making some cameos in the photos.
