Happy Valentine’s Day! And what a perfect day it is to finally blog Allie + Pete’s engagement session we did in September.
Am I allowed to choose a favorite session as a photographer? Is that bad?
This session was hands down one of my favorites from last year. One of the many blessings about being a photographer is getting to visit amazing sites that my clients take me to; and one of those amazing sites was literally on a corner of the Chesapeake River.
Allie grew up going to this part of the Chesapeake River so this spot had a special meaning to her. I mean, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was a deserted part of the river. We walked along the beach and fought off legions of mosquitoes and ended up at the most amazing spot. It was literally a corner of beach that jutted out into the water. We did have to kindly ask some fishermen if they wouldn’t mind moving their poles further down the beach. They are so sweet and greatly obliged to our request. And then as soon as the sun started coming through the clouds, I got all squeaky with delight and shot like crazy! It was a perfect pink, yellow, and orange sunset and I’m so thankful for that opportunity.
I’ve said this over and over, but I seriously have the BEST clients. Allie + Pete were so fun and so relaxed and up for anything. I just absolutely can not wait for their wedding in May! Allie, you are going to make a stunning bride and Pete a doting, giddy groom!
